Steven Gerrard stared down Everton fans in an ice-cold moment during Aston Villa's fiery match at Goodison Park.

Villa headed into the break one-goal up thanks to a brilliant header by Emi Buendia, who flicked on Lucas Digne's corner in first-half injury time.

And as Gerrard's team went back to their dressing room, the Villa boss was subjected to a barrage of abuse by the Everton faithful.

Just like at Old Trafford, though, the Liverpool legend took it in his stride and stared down the supporters seated in the Park End Stand.

Fans on social media loved Gerrard's ruthless glare.

One tweeted: "No Liverpool fan but this is cold."

A second wrote: "Let’s be honest he’s gonna become an unreal manager."

A third added: "That little smirk at the Everton fans."

Another commented: "Might be one of the coldest men in football ngl."

Buendia's header proved to be the match-winner as Villa move into the top half of the table.
