Ruben Dias and Virgil van Dijk have been compared a lot this season and now their first seasons for Manchester City and Liverpool have been put side by side.
Dias was a signing from Benfica last summer and has helped completely turn around City's fortunes, with Pep Guardiola's side only conceding 32 goals on the way to winning the title.

The Portuguese centre back's impact likened to the one Van Dijk had at Liverpool in his first season at Anfield, in 2018/19, with the Reds going on to win Champions League at the end of the campaign.
Van Dijk has been injured for must of this season so a direct comparison on the pitch hasn't been possible but you can take a look at the stats from Van Dijk's 2018/19 next to Dias this season.
Van Dijk's stats show just how incredibly good he was in 2018/19, because he is ahead of Dias pretty much everywhere it matters.

In fairness to the former Benfica defender though there are a couple of mitigating circumstances to his situation.
Firstly the 24-year-old was obviously in his debut season not just for City but in the Premier League. In the opposite corner Van Dijk had played two and a half seasons for Southampton and six months for Klopp's side.
Dias also came into the league in a very weird season and had little to no pre season, with Guardiola's team struggling early on before walking the league comfortably.
Next season hopefully we can see the pair competing all season.
