Dad tries to stab another spectator during kid's football tournament

Dad tries to stab another spectator during kid's football tournament

The incident took place at the Iber Cup in Spain and those involved were allegedly both parents of players.

A dad at an international youth football tournament caused horrific scenes as he started a fight with another dad and attempted to stab him.

The incident happened at the Iber Cup in Cadiz with fans and many youngsters, presumably players, standing on the side of a pitch.

A scuffle between two men broke out with others trying to get in between the pair and one of the men could then be seen taking out what appears to be a knife.

It's quite clear that he attempts to stab the other fan, swiping down hard with the knife before being pulled away from behind from someone else.

The victim of the attack can be seen walking away and holding his head, though it's not known if he was stabbed. You can see how it unfolded below.

Marca covered the story saying, "A father tried to stab another in a youth game in Cadiz.

"An individual completely out of his mind tried to stab another man with a knife during a fight in the stands of the 'Iber Cup', a children's tournament that takes place in San Roque."

Fellow Spanish outlet Cope claim that the man threatened those around him before pulling out the weapon and attacking his fellow fan.

Several youngsters were nearby and a match was going on at the time with one of the officials first to notice what was going on, on the sidelines.

Norfolk Referees Association, who had several members in attendance, told talkSPORT: "As a group we have been to many tournaments in Europe and this is the first time there has been an issue.

"The incident was over as quickly as it started and the attacker has been arrested by the police."
