Antoine Griezmann has had an uncharacteristically quiet start to the new season, with the French striker scoring just three goals in all competitions so far during the 2017/18 campaign.
However, the Frenchman did offer a rather spectacular glimpse of his old self during Los Rojiblancos' 1-1 draw with Villarreal, last night.
Griezmann laid on an assist for Angel Correa that has people wondering whether the former Real Sociedad forward actually meant it or not, such was the outrageous nature of the pass from the 26-year-old.

Unfortunately for Diego Simeone's team, Griezmann's heroics, accidental or otherwise, were not enough to deliver a much needed three points to Atleti, with Villareal coming away from the Wanda Metropolitano with a point.
The result leaves Atleti in fourth place in La Liga, eight points off leaders Barcelona. Diego Simeone could do with a few more of these assists from Griezmann in addition to the Frenchman rediscovering his shooting boots if Los Rojiblancos are to muster any sort of title challenge.
