Salah And Fernandes on List of 50 'Summer Targets' For Saudi Pro League

Mohamed Salah and Bruno Fernandes are part of a 50-man transfer shortlist for Saudi Pro League clubs this summer, according to a new report.

Salah signed a new two-year contract with Liverpool to keep him at the club until 2027, but his future has come under increasing doubt over recent weeks.

After Liverpool's 1-1 draw against Leeds in December, Salah spoke out about his recent lack of minutes and claimed that it 'seems like the club has thrown me under the bus'.

He added that he felt he did not have 'any relationship' with manager Arne Slot.

Salah was immediately dropped from Liverpool's squad for their next match against Inter Milan, but was later restored following positive talks with Slot.

Fernandes, meanwhile, was heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League last summer.

The Manchester United captain turned down a £100 million move to Al Hilal because he wanted to stay in Manchester and continue to 'play at the highest level'.

But he told Portuguese outlet Canal11 in December that the United hierarchy 'wanted' him to leave, sparking doubt over whether he would stay if a similar bid was made again this summer.

As far as Salah is concerned, talkSPORT claim that Saudi clubs made initial enquiries over signing him after his December comments, but Al Hilal, NEOM FC and Al Qadsiah have all been told that he will not leave Liverpool in the current window.

The same report adds that, along with Salah and Fernandes, Manchester United midfielder Casemiro - who announced on Thursday that he is leaving the club at the end of the season - is also on their summer shortlist.

In his departure statement, which was posted on Twitter, the Brazilian wrote: "Knowing when stages come to an end. Knowing when to say goodbye when you feel that you will be remembered and respected forever.

"Four months to give my all for this badge.

"Eternal respect and affection for Manchester United and its wonderful fans. Forever Red Devil."

Four months to give my all for this badge and for our goal.

Robert Lewandowski, 37, is also part of the shortlist, with the Pole's deal at Barcelona due to expire this summer.

Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior is the most significant name on the list after his recent run of poor form and reported fall-out with Xabi Alonso, amid claims that he is refusing to sign a new contract at the Bernabeu.

Aston Villa pair Amadou Onana and Youri Tielemans, as well as Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli, are also named.

According to The Telegraph, a number of out-of-contract Saudi Pro League stars, including N'Golo Kante, Ruben Neves and Karim Benzema, are among those who could be allowed to depart this summer in order to fund new arrivals.
