Cristiano Ronaldo was taunted by Al Hilal fans chanting Lionel Messi's name after Al Nassr's defeat on Friday.

Al Hilal pulled seven points clear at the top of the Saudi Pro League table after beating title rivals Al Nassr 3-0.

Goals from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and a brace from Aleksandar Mitrovic secured the victory.

And the home supporters were quick to taunt Ronaldo with chants about his long-standing rival Lionel Messi at full-time, prompting a hilarious reaction from the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.

In response to the jeers, Ronaldo blew kisses towards the crowd, smiling as he went down the tunnel.

In truth, it wasn't the 38-year-old's best day in an Al Nassr shirt. He looked to have levelled the scores in the second half with a fierce volley into the roof of the net, only for it to be ruled out for the narrowest of offsides.

The Portuguese superstar later claimed he had been fouled in the build-up to Mitrovic's first goal, but the referee wasn't interested.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo had to deal with Al Hilal defender Ali Al-Bulayhi squaring up to him in the first-half, to which he responded by putting his hand to his ear, cooly gesturing that he could not hear Al-Bulayhi's taunts.

In Al Nassr's previous 14 league games, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United star had scored 15 goals to top the Saudi Pro League scoring charts.

Speaking after the match, Al Nassr coach Luis Castro said of his captain: "Cristiano is an example for everyone, an example that Al Nassr are lucky to have. He is an example of rigor, ambition and discipline.

"Lots of people want to be like Cristiano Ronaldo but few want to work like Cristiano Ronaldo. If you want something you have to give everything to get it."
