Sadio Mane was forced off with a suspected concussion following a sickening head clash - just moments after scoring a sublime goal for Senegal at AFCON.

Cape Verde were reduced to NINE men when Vozinha was shown a straight red card for a foul on the Liverpool superstar.

The goalkeeper was involved in a shocking clash of heads with Mane, who hit the ground hard and laid stricken on the floor before eventually rising to his feet.

Despite the nasty encounter, Mane continued to play and seemingly justified his manager's decision to keep him on the field as he opened the scoring.

He curled home a stunning strike to give his side the lead in the 63rd minute.

However, his night ended literally moments after he scored.

Mane went down and appeared to look groggy, still feeling the effects of his head clash.

Bamba Dieng added a second goal in stoppage time to book Senegal's spot in the quarter-finals.

They return to action on Sunday to face the winner of Mali vs. Equatorial Guinea.
