Sadio Mane Becomes One Of The Best Paid Players In The World After Bayern Munich Move

Sadio Mane Becomes One Of The Best Paid Players In The World After Bayern Munich Move

Sadio Mane left Liverpool this summer after spending six years on Merseyside.

Sadio Mane’s wages at Bayern Munich reportedly makes him one of the highest paid players in the world.

During his time at Liverpool, the Senegal international’s agent has said that Mane was on good money but now he is amongst the top paid players after he sealed a £35 million move to the Bavarian club.

It has been claimed by German news outlet Bild that Mane will earn £17 million a year at Bayern after he signed a contract until 2025.

He will take home an eye watering £51 million during his time with the German champions.

Mane declared his wish to leave Anfield after six successful years at the club, he was one of the first major signings of Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp era.

Since signing for the Reds for £34 million from Southampton, Mane has developed into one of the finest players in world football as he was part of a formidable front three at Liverpool alongside Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah

In total, Mane made 269 appearances in all competitions, scoring 120 goals. During his six year spell with Liverpool, the Senegalese won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Mane also enjoyed success on the international stage with Senegal, as he scored the winning penalty in the Africa Cup of Nations final against Salah's Egypt. He later help his country get the better of Egypt again to seal a spot in the upcoming 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Mane pushed for a move away this summer as he wanted a fresh challenge, but after news broke that he reportedly asked for a major pay rise to stay at Liverpool, his agent, Bacary Cisse has branded the rumours as ‘false’.

He said: “Those are false rumours. We didn’t want to talk about that.”

“A player of Sadio’s calibre can’t be earning the salary people are speaking about.”

“The numbers circulating are completely wrong.”

Sadio was already earning more than that when he joined Liverpool from Southampton. He extended his contract in 2018 and his salary was much higher than the numbers circulating in the media.”

Cisse added: “I think Sadio chose the right club at the right time. He won everything at Liverpool.”

“It was time to seek a new challenge elsewhere. Bayern’s project was very attractive.”

With a new challenge ahead of Mane, he will be hoping to carry his form from Liverpool to Munich in order to help his new team win the Bundesliga for the 11th time in a row.
