"You should still be f**king playing!" - Roy Keane and Gary Neville violated Micah Richards after finding out his age

"You should still be f**king playing!" - Roy Keane and Gary Neville violated Micah Richards after finding out his age

"I wasn't born then."

Roy Keane and Gary Neville were shocked after finding out just how young fellow pundit Micah Richards is.

The trio all work for Sky Sports and ahead of the World Cup, reunited for Sky Bet's 'World Cup Meet-Up' series.

Keane discussed his first World Cup memory, which was World Cup 1982 in Spain. Richards then asked if Keane could teach him as he wasn't born for that tournament.

A shocked Neville, with a puzzled look on his face, immediately interjected with: "Were you not?"

Richards replied: "I was born in '88. I'm a spring chicken."

When Neville pushed for how old the former Manchester City man was, he confessed: "I'm 34."

Neville composed himself for a second before bellowing: "You should still be f**king playing! 34!? You've been a pundit for about 15 years!"

Richards and Neville started to laugh and even Keane cracked a smile with his two close friends.

The clip has gone viral on social media, with over 35,000 likes at the time of writing. Fans think Neville delivered the ultimate violation, which Richards took well.

One person said: "Nah they completely cooked him man."

Another commented: "The best trio on TV. Hands down."

A third put: "Only these two can make Keane break character."

While someone tweeted: "Even I couldn't believe Micah's age when I saw it for the first time."

He won the FA Cup in 2011 as well as the club's first Premier League title in 2012, before injuries slowed him down.

In 2015, Richards joined Aston Villa. His time in the Midlands was ill-fated, making just 29 league appearances in four years.

Richards retired in 2019 and has since become one of the most beloved pundits on British television.

The ex-defender made 13 appearances for England but didn't represent the Three Lions at an international tournament.
