Romelu Lukaku's 'Highlights' Video Makes For Uncomfortable Viewing

Romelu Lukaku's 'Highlights' Video Makes For Uncomfortable Viewing

Lukaku was not on top form as Chelsea lost to Manchester City and all but closed the door on their Premier League title fight.

Romelu Lukaku was well short of his best on Saturday, as Manchester City beat Chelsea, and his personal 'highlights' video won't make for comfortable viewing for the striker.

Chelsea's performance against City was pretty limp all round, as they fell 13 points behind Pep Guardiola's team in a Premier League title race that is quickly becoming just a one horse race.

Whilst a number of players weren't up to their usual standards, it was Lukaku who came in for a lot of criticism, both from his manager and fans online, and it's easy to see why.

One football fan posted a video of the former Inter Milan striker's 'highlights' from the game and it really isn't great viewing for any Blues' fans.

Following the match, Tuchel ripped into the 28-year-old, saying, "He had many ball losses without pressure and in very promising circumstances.

"Of course we want to serve him but he is part of the team and sometimes he needs to do service as well. He had a huge chance so he’s included in this.

"We had eight or nine attacking transitions in the first half and zero touches in the box. That is a big problem. There was a lack of timing and composure. We could have had more chances if we played with better precision."

It has not been a good few weeks for Lukaku, who only recently came back from an injury, after being forced to apologise for an interview he did in Italy.

The former Inter striker was trying to explain why he left the club last summer, but instead ended up annoying Chelsea fans for his suggestion he would return to the San Siro in the future.

The striker was then fined £500,000 by Chelsea and his performance against City was the latest setback to what he initially said was a dream move back to Stamford Bridge.

Whilst Tuchel's side were completely outplayed on Saturday, it was only Kevin de Bruyne's world class goal that separated the two teams on the scoreline.

However the Champions League holders have now failed to win their past three league games and won only once in the past six.
