Roma star Paulo Dybala is considering legal action against former club Juventus over unpaid wages.

29-year-old Argentine forward Dybala ended his seven-year stay with Juventus in the summer after failing to agree on a new contract.

As a result, Dybala signed for the Turin club’s Serie A rivals Roma to link up with Jose Mourinho.

However, it has now been reported that Juventus are yet to fully pay Dybala’s wages.

According to Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Dybala told investigators that Juventus still owe him more than €3m.

He said: “I don’t remember when the last month’s salary was paid, but I know Juventus still owe me money.

“When we made the agreement, I knew that if I still had a contract, I would receive more money in the following months, but if I left, they had to pay straight away.

“I know Juventus have the last chance to pay me in April 2023. If they don’t do it, my lawyer will make a written request, but I want to avoid this scenario. I don’t want to sue Juventus.”

The report also stated that Dybala’s lawyer, Luca Ferrari has already made a formal request for the money owed, whilst asking for compensation.

Dybala added: “That’s not what I had asked for. All I want is my outstanding salary.”

Since joining Roma, Dybala has become one of Mourinho’s most important players, with the Portuguese previously describing him as one of the best in the world.

Mourinho said: “He is doing a very good job. He knows his players perfectly and he knows that from the midfield onwards, Argentina has a lot of options but for me Dybala is one of the best players in the world.

“Dybala has taken this responsibility to be an important player for Roma. He has the tranquillity of great players and I think that with the 60,000 at the stadium, he will be at the top.”
