With the pinnacle event of the European football calendar, the Champions League final, taking place today, Saturday 28th May, Real Madrid will be taking on Liverpool in Paris.

The game kicks off under the lights at the Stade de France in the French capital at 8pm UK time. Fans in attendance will also be treated with a live performance from Camila Cabello prior to the game as UEFA continue their attempts to increase star attraction to their biggest day of the year.

The match, as one would expect, is sold out, but televised for BT Sport customers on both BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate. The climactic event will also be streamed free of charge on the BT Sport YouTube channel.

Liverpool fans will be hoping they don’t see a repeat of the 2018 final as a Loris Karius capitulation between the sticks for the Reds saw Real blow the Anfield side away. A goal from Karim Benzema and two from Gareth Bale were enough to cancel out Mohamed Salah’s opener and hand Los Blancos victory that night.

However, four years later, we will see a very different affair, with Liverpool clear favourites ahead of the match. Jurgen Klopp’s men will be looking to complete their treble having already celebrated success in the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup this season, and many anticipate their ruthless quality will be too much for Real Madrid.

That said, Madrid’s chaotically wonderful semi-final tie with Manchester City evidenced the unpredictability of the Champions League, reinforcing its status as a competition renowned for its drama. Make sure to tune in tonight at 8pm to ensure you don’t miss out on what is bound to be a pulsating night of footballing action.
