Crazy moment player kicked second ball to knock Vinicius Jr over during Real Madrid defeat

Crazy moment player kicked second ball to knock Vinicius Jr over during Real Madrid defeat

The Madrid winger was not happy.

There were crazy scenes during Valencia's 1-0 win over Real Madrid as Vinicius Jr was knocked over by a second ball on the pitch.

Valencia defender Eray Comert was the guilty party, and appeared to deliberately cannon a second ball directly into the one at Vinicius' feet, sparking outrage among supporters.

With Vinicius and his teammates visibly incensed, Comert was shown a yellow card by the referee due to the contact taking place just outside the six-yard box.

However, there was no time for the free-kick to be taken due to suspected racist abuse from the crowd in the direction of Vinicius.

The Real Madrid winger was quick to point towards the perpetrators, with the game suspended for well over five minutes as the chaos ensued.

The crowd inside the Mestalla Stadium were then warned that the match would be called off if their behaviour did not change.

The game did continue, but Vinicius was later given a red card in stoppage time for slapping Hugo Duro after being being manhandled by the Valencia player.

The referee had little choice but to show the 22-year-old his marching orders, leading to ironic jeers around the stadium.

Unfortunately, it's not the first time Vinicius has been the subject of abuse from rival fans, with the Brazilian targeted by Atletico Madrid hooligans ahead of their meeting back in January.

The defeat leaves Los Blancos' in third place, one point behind local rivals Atletico Madrid with three games to play.

While Carlo Ancelotti will still bear the scars of their 4-0 Champions League second-leg defeat to Manchester City last week, as Real's hopes of a 15th Champions league title slipped away.

Whereas Valencia climbed up to 15th in the table, some five points above the relegation zone, as Ruben Baraja's side edge towards safety.
