The fact that no player in the Champions League or Premier League has dribbled past Virgil Van Dijk this season says it all, really.
In addition to this incredible stat, the 27-year-old has won each of his last 18 aerials contested at home in the Premier League, winning every duel since January this year.

His form under Jurgen Klopp has been crucial since the start of the league campaign, and to put his rock-like performances into perspective, SPORTbible fans have voted him the best defender in world football.
In a Twitter poll 65% of fans said that Van Dijk, an early favourite for Player Of The Year, was indeed the best defender.
That's pretty conclusive, right?
These fans aren't the only ones to hold such a high regard of Van Dijk. In fact, he is the 'best player in the world' according to Chris Sutton.

BT Sport pundit Robbie Savage posed the question to his fellow colleagues: "Who is the best player in the Premier League right now?"
Former Spurs midfielder Jermaine Jenas said Raheem Sterling, while Sutton wasn't having any of it and chose Liverpool's centre-back as the best in the WORLD.
"Virgil van Dijk, he's the best player in the world." he said.

Jenas replied by saying Messi and it's hard to disagree with that, to be honest, even if he was voted as the fifth best player in the world per Ballon d'Or.
To be fair to Sutton, the Dutchman has provided some incredible stats in recent weeks.
