Benjamin Mendy Brilliantly Shuts Down 'Fan' Who Trolls Him For Supporting Sir Alex

Benjamin Mendy has brilliantly put a Manchester City 'fan' in his place after showing support to Sir Alex Ferguson.

The ex-Manchester United boss was rushed to hospital on Saturday.

He underwent emergency surgery for a brain haemorrhage, and is in intensive care.

Tributes have been pouring in from the football family. Rivals Liverpool and Manchester City have issued classy messages, as well as players from those respective teams including Mendy.

The French international, renown for his Twitter activity, posted the following message: "So sad... All our prayers for you Sir Alex".

Though his touching message wasn't appreciated by a certain Twitter individual.

Mendy responded, swiftly shutting him up by replying: "F* off".

Well said, Benjamin. Well said.

Sir Alex remains in the thoughts of the footballing community as he recovers.

"The thoughts of everyone at Liverpool Football Club are with Sir Alex Ferguson and his family following the news that the former Manchester United manager is ill in hospital," Liverpool's statement reads.

"A great rival but also a great friend who supported this club during its most difficult time, it is hoped that Sir Alex will make a full recovery.

"In the meantime, the club will offer its full support to Manchester United and also his family."
