Dimirti Payet has now spoken about the incident and has reiterated that he did not intend to injure the Portugal captain in the European Championship final, stating that 'it was not intentional'
After the final whistle, Payet said the following about THAT tackle:
"No, it was a challenge, that's all, period, I regained the possession and if I hurt him it was not intentional.

Looking away from the challenge on Ronaldo, the West Ham playmaker has been a sensation in this years tournament.
