Barcelona's team of the decade has been revealed and it's caused controversy after popular players miss out.

WhoScored have collated an average rating for all of Barca's player over the last ten years and created a starting XI.

You can check out the XI below.

One big point of contention is in midfield.

Cesc Fabregas lines-up alongside club legends Xavi and Andres Iniesta when many fans believe it should be Segio Busquets.

Fabregas spent three years at Camp Nou and won La Liga during his stay but never settled in.

He departed for Chelsea in 2014 and many Barca fans were glad to see him go.

Busquets on the other hand has solidified himself as a club legend over the last decade and won a gluttony of trophies.

Barca fans took to Twitter to express their shock at the 31-year-old's omission.

Another omission is the iconic Carles Puyol.

Although he begun the decade close to retirement, he still lifted three La Liga's and a Champions League title as captain before hanging up his boots in 2014.

Javier Mascherano and fellow Spaniard Gerard Pique feature at the heart of defence with Dani Alves and Jordi Alba at full-back.

Many think that Puyol should have a place in the team ahead of Mascherano, who was a great servant to the club, but not at the level of 'Lionheart'.

There are likely no arguments when it comes to the front three.

Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar make up the attacking trio which was known as 'MSN'.

David Villa and Pedro could be considered hard done by but it's hard to argue with the record of 'MSN'.

Before Neymar's departure for PSG in 2017 they ripped world football apart and won the Champions League in 2015.

Neymar's stint at the Blaugrana has even led to an attempt to re-sign him over the last few summers.

Who do you think deserves to be in Barcelona's best team?
