Fans Are Gutted For Luke Shaw After Freak Head Injury

The Manchester United left back has had no luck with injuries and just as he'd forced his way into the England team he gets another.

Luke Shaw had to be taken off the pitch on a stretched during England's UEFA Nations League opener against Spain after a freak clash with Daniel Carvajal seemed to knock the Manchester United full back unconscious.

It has not been a good few years for Luke Shaw since he moved from Southampton to Manchester United.

His first season at Old Trafford was blighted by numerous injuries as he failed to get his season going at anytime. He started the second season with lots of promise but his season was ended on September 15th by a leg break against PSV. In fact just this week the left back explained how the incident nearly saw him lose his leg:

A mixture of fitness, form and Jose Mourinho seemingly not liking him stopped him ever reaching his full potential over the last two years but things had started turning around for the 23 year old this season.

He's started United first four games, scored the winner against Leicester, been one of their few bright sparks and earned himself a recall to the England squad.

That upward projection continued on Saturday night when he started for the Three Lions and set up Marcus Rashford for the side's opener against Spain. But in the second half disaster struck him.

Shaw had to be stretchered off after an accidental collision with Daniel Carvajal's arm that seemed to knock him out and fans were gutted for him

After such an incredible comeback from everything that's gone on you've got to feel sorry for Shaw that once again he's picked up an injury.

Hopefully nothing is too serious and he recovers well. Good luck Luke.
