Everyone's Talking About How Empty The Emirates Stadium Is Tonight

Storm Emma, the Beast from the East or is it just that Arsenal fans think their team are utter rubbish?

In case you haven't noticed it's quite cold at the moment. The snow and winds have led to the cancellation of plenty of sporting events. Arsenal vs Manchester City in the Premier League still went ahead but plenty of people stayed away.

The wind and the snow is so bad that even the darts was cancelled tonight. No Premier League PDC darts going on, despite the fact that it's inside and the flowing booze will keep everyone warm anyway.

Of course a lot of it is about the safety of the fans but those in north London were not deemed a risk for tonight's repeat of Sunday's Carabao Cup final just in the league this time.

The commentators and those on social media couldn't help but notice that the Emirates is looking, and sounding, pretty empty tonight and plenty are pointing out that Manchester City fans have managed to make the game so maybe it's not weather related:

Probably to the surprise of no one, least of all those who didn't actually turn up, City went ahead midway through the first half with Leroy Sane tearing the Gunners' defence apart before finding Bernardo Silva who ended the move with a lovely finish.

David Silva soon made it 2-0. Sane once again tore through the defence, playing in Aguero who found Silva and the Spaniard finished off nicely.

And it was 3-0 just after the half hour mark. A goal made out of FIFA with passing in the deep from City was moved forward quickly and Sane got his own goal that his play had deserved.

As if the few Arsenal fans that were there needed an excuse to be any quieter, or to leave early- the cold can't get you at home lads.
