Rare Pitchside Footage Captures Last Three Minutes Of The 1999 Champions League Final

"AND SOLSKJAER HAS WON IT!"

Clive Tyldsley senses a goal. Teddy Sheringham has just equalised in stoppage time to make it 1-1 and Manchester United have another corner.

"You have to feel this is their year," he tells millions watching at home. "Is this their moment? Beckham...into Sheringham...AND SOLSKJAER HAS WON IT!"

The Norwegian striker slides on his knees and celebrates in front of the travelling supporters. "Nobody will ever win a European cup football final more dramatically than this," Tyldsley goes on. "Champions of Europe. Champions of England. Winners of the FA Cup. Everything their hearts desired."

It remains one of the greatest moments in Champions League history, but have you seen rare pitchside footage from the final three minutes of that game against Bayern Munich?

Don't get me wrong, it's a little grainy but look through the poor quality and it really is an incredible watch.

Following the dramatic scenes at the Camp Nou that night, where goals from Sheringham and Solskjaer cancelled out Mario Basler's free-kick, the scenes from inside the Manchester United dressing room were also captured in fascinating footage.

Surprisingly, cameras were allowed access and some gold was uncovered.

From 'Fergie' embracing United legend Sir Bobby Charlton and captain Roy Keane popping the champagne, to kitman Albert Morgan getting drenched while singing 'Championes, Championes, Ole Ole Ole.'

It really is an entertaining watch. United's top goalscorer Dwight Yorke was throwing some serious shapes, David Beckham posed with the trophy and coaches were thrown into the jacuzzis with their clothes on.

What many people don't know is United's goal-scoring hero Ole Gunnar Solskjaer actually injured himself celebrating his dramatic stoppage-time winner against Bayern Munich and it sidelined him for a number of weeks.

The Norwegian, who is now the manager of Manchester United, said it wasn't linked to the knee problem that led to his retirement in 2007, but it did rule him out of some international games.

"That's not true. I did get injured and I did tweak my medial ligament," Solskjaer told ESPN FC.

"It was nothing to do with my injury but I missed two or three weeks and a couple of internationals for Norway but it was worth it. The celebration was worth it.

"I've seen [the goal] so many times. I cannot remember exactly what I felt because I was so focused on my job. I think it was bigger for everyone else around. I just did my job as a striker, something I'd done so many times before.

"It was just being in the right position at the right time."
