Lucky Punter Turns £2 Into £505,984.88 With 18-Fold Accumulator Dubbed 'The Best Bet Of All Time'

Lucky Punter Turns £2 Into £505,984.88 With 18-Fold Accumulator Dubbed 'The Best Bet Of All Time'

"Without a doubt the best bet I’ve ever seen."

A lucky Ladbrokes punter has turned £2 into £505,984.88 after correctly predicting eighteen football results that included two 95th-minute winners. This must be seen to be believed, trust me.

The person involved placed the 18-fold, 252,991/1 accumulator across last weekend's League One, League Two and international fixtures.

As injury-time loomed, things were looking bleak, with Colchester, Mansfield and Mauritania either behind or level in their respected games – not to mention Spain, who were drawing 1-1 against Albania with 90 minutes on the clock.

Then, in a quite remarkable sequence of events, there was a host of late drama in what can only be described as the luckiest, and greatest, bet in recent memory. Here's how it went down.

As described by Ladbrokes PR man Alex Apati on social media, the punter's bet included one 90th-minute winner, one 92nd-minute winner and two 95th-minute winners.

League Two side Colchester kept the bet alive after the 3pm kick-off's with a 1-0 win against Tranmere after Junior Tschamadeu bagged a dramatic 95th-minute winner.

Another League Two side, Mansfield Town, then picked up all three points on their travels to Boundary Park as George Lapslie's goal in the 95th-minute gave Nigel Clough's side a 2-1 win.

And then came a 90th-minute winner from Spain's hero of the hour, Dani Olmo, who helped La Roja secure victory in their friendly against Albania.

With all looking promising ahead of the final fixtures, the 18-fold bet would eventually hinge on whether Mauritania could beat Mozambique. What happened next is truly remarkable, even for this lucky punter's standards.
