Barcelona Manager Already Frustrated With New Signing Ousmane Dembele

The former Borussia Dortmund forward is the most expensive player in Barcelona's history and Neymar's replacement.

Remember when we had the transfer window and we spoke about Neymar almost every five minutes? Remember his replacement Ousmane Dembele? Well he's already annoyed his new manager.

So just a quick reminder, as it's been so long, Neymar decided he wanted to leave Barcelona for PSG so they spend £198 million to bring him to France.

That made all other transfers in the window cost about three times as much and spent bank managers into an absolute spin!

Barcelona could barely get rid of any of their new found wealth as they tried to replace Neymar with Liverpool wanting about £200 million for Philippe Coutinho.

The Camp Nou side did manage to spend the second most money ever on a football player by signing Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortmund for around €145 million. But there's already issues.

According to Spanish newspaper Don Balon things aren't good in training with manager Ernesto Valverde annoyed that Dembele has been training alone and so hasn't learnt how to play with his teammates.

The Barca manager, who took over from Luis Enrique when the Spaniard quit at the end of last season, is also annoyed that Dembele isn't up to speed on fitness.

The Frenchman had refused to train for Dortmund whilst he tried to get himself a move across Europe to La Liga and it's obviously had an adverse effect on him.

20 year-old Dembele has seven French caps to his name but didn't get a call up for the World Cup qualifiers against Netherlands and Luxembourg in the past week which France earned four points.

The former Rennes winger should be making his debut in the Barcelona derby against Espanyol at the weekend but Valverde is reportedly thinking of leaving him out of the team.

Gerard Deulofeu has been filling the place left by Neymar and could continue there with Dembele potentially not even making the bench.

It's not a good start for the second most expensive player ever!
