A top Premier League star has been embarrassed by his friends who put a £9,500 bill for lap dances in his name.
Newcastle United and England star Kieran Trippier is reportedly facing a huge bill from a strip club after a group of his mates left his name on the tab.
The £9,663.45 bill is believed to have been racked up Trippier’s friends at non-league side Gateshead after a visit to the For Your Eyes Only club in Newcastle earlier this month.

It was printed at 4.36am under the name “Tripps” and included 76 £100 tokens for personal dances at the club which Trippier has allegedly visited in the past.
The remainder of the bill included various alcoholic drinks and 38 £50 dance tokens.

A source told The Sun: “Kieran has visited FYEO before but this bill was run up by some of the lads he knows at Gateshead. He wasn’t there.

"This seems to be their idea of a joke on Kieran. Who knows who footed the bill.”
Although Trippier, who split from long-term partner Charlotte last year, appears to have not been a part of the group that racked up the costly bill, he is no stranger to a night out.
Just 11 days after Newcastle beat Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley, Trippier and several of his teammates were spotted attending the Premier League Darts in March.
The England international was joined by Dan Burn, Harvey Barnes and Matt Targett, who all watched on as darts sensation Luke Littler picked up another win with a 6-1 victroy in the final over world number one Luke Humphries.

Despite rumours that he could leave the Geordie club popping up throughout the 2024/25 campaign, Trippier stuck with Newcastle United in what has been a fantastic season for the Magpies.
However, the 34-year-old's season has been plagued with injuries, making just 24 league appearances this season, with only 14 of them being as part of the starting lineup.
In this time, Trippier has produced three assists, but is yet to score himself.

With just one match left this season, it remains to be seen if Trippier will get another chance to play for Newcastle in this campaign, with all eyes on the summer transfer window where he could once again be linked with a move.
