Crystal Palace have issued an extremely short statement confirming the departure of centre-back Rob Holding.
Holding moved to the Eagles for £4 million on transfer deadline day in September 2023, penning a three-year contract.
He made his debut against Manchester United in a Carabao Cup tie but that was to be the only outing Holding made in a Palace shirt during his spell with the South London outfit.
The former Arsenal and Bolton Wanderers defender found himself out of favour under Oliver Glasner and following a draw with Chelsea at the start of last season, the Austrian revealed he had banished Holding from the first-team for a reason which he would not disclose.

"Rob [Holding] is training individually at the moment,” the Austrian said in his press conference.
"We will talk together. He knows the reason, but it is something that stays between Rob and me. Nothing public.”
It was reported that the two had a disagreement over a post-match running session.

Instead the 29-year-old was forced to train and play with Palace's Under 23 side and was left out of the first-team photoshoot.
Following the snub, Holding proceeded to remove all references of Palace on his official Instagram page in a move which appeared to signal the end was near.
Holding was loaned out to Sheffield United and that news was announced by the FA Cup winners with a brief comment on the official website.

After 12 appearances for the Blades as they missed out on promotion from the Championship, Holding's stint in Yorkshire came to an end but after an outing in the pre-season friendly against Bromley, so has his nightmare spell with Palace.
Palace confirmed his exit on Thursday afternoon, writing: "Crystal Palace F.C. can confirm that Rob Holding has left the club.
"Holding joined Palace in September 2023 from fellow Premier League side Arsenal. The defender spent the latter half of last season on loan at Sheffield United, where he played 12 times.
"The club wishes Rob well for his future career."
Holding's free agency period ends immediately
Though he wasn't announced by Palace, according to Tom Bogert of Give Me Sport, Holding is poised to sign for MLS side Colorado Rapids, having passed his medical ahead of the final details being completed.

Rapids, owned by Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, who call the shots at Arsenal, are not paying a fee after his contract was terminated at Selhurst Park.
