Rio Ferdinand's Premier League predictions for the 2023/24 season are IN and he's made some bold claims.

The new Premier League season gets underway on Friday as defending champions Manchester City face Vincent Kompany's Burnley.

It's set to be another entertaining campaign, with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool strengthening their squads ahead of the new season.

But Ferdinand isn't convinced they can snatch the title away from the Etihad, predicting Pep Guardiola's side to win a FOURTH consecutive championship.

The former Man United defender, though, has tipped Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool to secure top four spots. The Red Devils and the Gunners claimed top four spots last season while Liverpool finished in fifth place.

As for the other end of the table, Everton, Luton Town and Sheffield United will be relegated from the top flight, according to Ferdinand.

He's also backed Burnley to be the 'surprise package' following a stunning campaign in the Championship under Kompany's tutelage.

In terms of the individual awards, Ferdinand reckons Marcus Rashford will be the 'Player of the Season'. The 25-year-old enjoyed the most prolific campaign of his career last season, scoring 30 goals in all competitions, including 17 league goals.

But he thinks Erling Haaland will take home the Premier League Golden Boot award for a second consecutive season, having scored a record-breaking 36 league goals last season.
