Fan redesigns all 20 Premier League home shirts using AI, there are some great results

A fan has asked ChatGPT to redesign all 20 of this season's Premier League home shirts – and the results are interesting, to say the least.

Earlier this year, we used AI tool Midjourney to see what each Premier League club's home kit would look like in 50 years time.

Treble-winners Manchester City were predicted to rekindle a sponsorship deal with Nike in the future, while Sheffield United's jersey resembled MLS side Atlanta United's current strip.

Now, X user Dan - Retro Shirts FC has published his AI findings in a social media thread.

To kick things off, Arsenal's home shirt boasts a sleek collar featuring the iconic Nike swoosh. There isn't a huge amount of change compared to other clubs, but it seems to have gone down well with fans.

Here's how Chat GPT redesigned the rest of the Premier League, featuring fan reaction from a unique 'wave' pattern on the Brighton home shirt, and Manchester City's locally-inspired "worker bee" socks.

Aston Villa

– "Why is ours the worst one? Looks like a Scottish 3rd kit with that badge."

– "What a crazy shirt."

Bournemouth

Brentford

Advert

– "Can I just say how unsettling it is to see the detail of toes in socks that aren't being worn."

– "Dan asked ChatGPT to redesign the Brentford shirt, this is what it came back with. A return to Webb-era red shorts included. What do we think?"

Brighton and Hove Albion

– "Besides the misspelling of hove, that kit is actually dope."

– "This jersey is much better than the one we got this year."

Burnley

Advert

– "I would buy this shirt. Hope the designers for next season's Burnley shirt take note."

– "I NEED THIS."

Chelsea

– "That’s just merged the 18/19 & 19/20 top together."

– "Have they just combined 18/19, 19/20 & 20/21?"

Crystal Palace

– "You can only do so many things with stripes."

– "In some ways I actually prefer this to our actual shirt. Some of the other shirts in this thread are absolute bangers though."

– "How have we ended up with the worst shirt even with AI?"

Everton

– "Actually rate this."

– "Pretty much identical to our actual kit."

Fulham

– "18/19 vibes NO THANKS."

Liverpool

– "New Balance kits>>>"

– "I'm a fan of this."

Luton Town

– "I'd be well up for Carlton Morris having to try and keep Luton Town in the Premier league, whilst wearing that hat."

– "Love the fact this comes with a hat. More Premier Teams should incorporate headwear into their match day kit."

– "The hat is a classy touch."

Manchester City

– "Tears even AI wants us to go back to Nike."

– "We get ties and and normal socks in with our packs, nice."

Manchester United

– "Someone should make this."

– "Some of these are pretty cool but I don't know about the United one tbh."

Newcastle United

– "This is gorgeous."

– "This is GOLD."

Nottingham Forest

– "I'd definitely buy this."

– "Not sure I like the fact we’ve lost a European cup on this one."

Sheffield United

Tottenham Hotspur

– "This is genuinely beautiful."

West Ham United

– "Ok what do we think? I’m loving this."

– "Looks like a tango ice blast."

Wolverhampton Wanderers

– "Thought this was Kaizer Chiefs for a second."

– "This would go pretty hard if the wolf wasn't pulling an apologetic 'I've just s*** on the living room floor' look."
