Manchester United’s new match categorising strategy has finally been rolled out - so how does the updated pricing regime compare to the club’s hospitality packages?

On Wednesday (June 18), it was revealed that a single ticket to a ‘Category A’ match at Old Trafford could cost fans up to £97.

This price increase comes amid the introduction of Man Utd’s new ticketing system which sees seat prices fluctuating depending on what ‘category’ the Premier League fixture falls into.

Category C games against Sunderland and Wolves will only cost football fans £37, whilst Category A games - including the Manchester derby and matches against Newcastle United and Tottenham - will see supporters forking out just shy of £100.

The club notes that the £97 price tag applied to less than 1 per cent of available matchday tickets.

Hospitality providers such as Seat Unique and P1 Travel are also selling VIP packages for the upcoming Premier League season - but how does the pricing compare to the club’s new ticket model?

Category A matches - hospitality vs single matchday price comparison

On August 17, Ruben Amorim’s squad will kickstart their 2025/26 campaign at the Theatre of Dreams against Arsenal. Tickets range from £59 to £97.

Various hospitality packages are on sale now via Seat Unique for this Category A match.

These include the North West Quadrant ticket. For £299, you will get a padded seat, a meal deal (including hot food, a drink and a snack) and entry to the Museum on a non-matchday.

Other Category A matches against Chelsea and Liverpool are priced the same for the hospitality experience.

Category B matches - hospitality vs single matchday price comparison

Man United officials have categorised 11 Premier League fixtures as ‘B’ games, with ticket prices ranging from £57 to £86.

These include matches against Brighton & Hove Albion, FA Cup 2025 winners Crystal Palace, and recently-promoted Burnley.

Seat Unique is offering a range of VIP experiences to these 2025/26 matches, with tickets starting from £199.

Category C matches - hospitality packages vs single matchday price comparison

Only two fixtures of the 2025/26 season have been classed as ‘Category C’ matches by the Red Devils.

The first takes place on October 4 and sees Man U taking on Sunderland at Old Trafford.

The second Category C match is vs Wolverhampton Warriors on December 30, with tickets starting from £37 and reaching highs of £60.

Hospitality packages on Seat Unique begin at £149, with some VIP tickets including complimentary bar access as well as sitting in the first five rows of Block N1409. AKA: one of the best seats in the house.
