Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola produced a hilarious answer when asked if he is the GOAT.

Due to his immense successes at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and City, Guardiola is often labelled as the GOAT, which stands for the Greatest Of All Time.

Since arriving at City in 2016, he has transformed the club and taken them to a new level.

In the 22/23 season, Guardiola finally managed to win the elusive Champions League trophy as City completed a historic Treble after also winning the Premier League and the FA Cup.

As a result, many feel Guardiola has cemented himself as the GOAT after finally breaking his Champions League hoodoo.

During City’s pre-season tour in Tokyo, Japan, Guardiola was asked whether he thinks he is the GOAT.

According to Manchester Evening News journalist, Rich Fay, Guardiola replied: “I am not a goat and I don’t have any intention to be.”

Guardiola was also asked how he thinks his side could look by the end of the summer transfer window.

The Spaniard said: “I think many things are going to happen. I can not answer. I want the best for my players. I spoke with Kyle and everything was right. We will see what happens.”

Kyle Walker has been linked with a move to German Bundesliga side Bayern but it has been reported that City are keen to hold onto the England international.

Winger Riyad Mahrez is said to be closing in on a move to the Saudi Professional League after a fee was agreed with Al Ahli.

After losing captain Ilkay Gundogan upon the expiration of his contract, City decided to bring in Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea to bolster their midfield ranks.

Upon signing for the club, the Croatian said: “It feels amazing. All the people here have made me feel welcome, so I feel already part of it.

“It’s very nice to be at such a big club - a club that has won a lot in the recent years and I can’t wait to get started.”

City will kick off their 23/24 Premier League season with an away match against newly promoted Burnley.
