A supercomputer has predicted the final 23/24 Premier League table based on performances from the first two fixtures.

After a thrilling 22/23 season, the Premier League made its long-awaited return two weeks ago.

Heading into the new campaign, champions Manchester City are again the clear favourites to clinch a fourth successive title, whilst the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United look to challenge Pep Guardiola’s men.

After just two matches, the football analysts at Online Sportsbook BetVictor have used their supercomputer to predict the final 23/24 Premier League table.

It has been predicted that City will come out on top again with a points average of 87.

Arsenal and Newcastle were second and third respectively with 76 and 75.

Brighton meanwhile pipped Liverpool to fourth place by one point.

Whilst United are predicted to miss out on the Champions League by finishing sixth.

Despite another spending spree, Chelsea are predicted to finish in 12th place under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

In terms of relegation, two of the three promoted sides are predicted to go straight back down, with Luton Town and Sheffield United finishing 20th and 19th.

They will be joined by Bournemouth, who narrowly missed out on survival by one point.

When making the predictions, BetVictor stated that City’s odds of winning an unprecedented fourth successive Premier League title have increased from 68.5% to 75.4% after their opening two victories.

Brighton’s odds of qualifying for next season’s Champions League have increased after scoring eight goals in their first two league matches.

Ahead of this weekend's fixtures, BetVictor's match simulator has Newcastle down as favourites when they take on Liverpool on Sunday, with The Magpies winning 56.6% of the simulations.

The Premier League returns on Friday night with Chelsea taking on newly promoted Luton at Stamford Bridge.
