Alvaro Arbeloa ended his tenure as Real Madrid manager last week as he was replaced at the helm of the Spanish giants by Jose Mourinho.
It came to nobody’s surprise that the 2010 World Cup winner was removed from the position after their season in which he replaced Xabi Alonso as manager.
Real Madrid went trophyless in the campaign as Barcelona claimed the La Liga title, while they suffered defeat to the Catalan giants in the Supercopa de Espana and then crashed out of the Copa del Rey to Albacete.
Now, Arbeloa appears to be set to become the manager of the Premier League club Fulham after Marco Silva took the decision to leave the club at the end of the campaign to become the boss at Benfica, replacing Mourinho.

It has been reported by Fabrizio Romano that the former Liverpool player is set to make the move to London to continue his fledgling managerial career.
Arbeloa will be situated in West London, the same area as Alonso after he became the Chelsea manager earlier in the summer, with the pair set to be in control of rival clubs.

Alvaro Arbeloa is the preferred option over several managers with Premier League experience
There will be supporters surprised that Arbeloa is the option that the Cottagers have opted to bring in to replace Silva, especially with the wealth of experienced Premier League managers available.
It has been reported by Alex Crook that the Spaniard was the preferred choice after they sounded out several managers with this experience in the English top-flight.
This included sounding out options like Ange Postecoglou, who brought silverware to Tottenham Hotspur in 2025 and who had been in charge of Nottingham Forest for a spell last season.

Meanwhile, they explored his Spurs replacement Thomas Frank as a potential option along with Coventry City manager Frank Lampard.
Another option was Kieran McKenna, who may be at the top of the lists of many Premier League clubs moving forward following his decision to step away from Ipswich Town after guiding them back to the English top flight, with the Northern Irishman not being interested in the Fulham role at this time as he wants a break from management.
