Arsenal fans think they are living 'rent free' in Jurgen Klopp's head following his press conference claim after Liverpool's defeat to Everton.

Liverpool missed the chance to go level on points with league leaders Arsenal as they suffered a crushing 2-0 defeat at Goodison Park on Wednesday.

Jarrad Branthwaite opened the scoring, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin doubling his side's lead with a towering header in the second-half.

Jamie Carragher called out a Liverpool star for his 'unforgivable' moment during the Premier League fixture.

And Wayne Rooney ruthlessly called out Virgil van Dijk's post-match interview.

Klopp also fielded questions during his post-match presser as he mentioned two Arsenal players.

He claimed Gabriel and William Saliba have 'played all the games' for the Gunners this season. Check it out below:

Asked if Liverpool's defeat was down to fatigue, the German boss replied: "There are different aspects, definitely. Players who played all the games are not that fresh, but that is for other teams the same. I don’t want to use that as an excuse, really - as long as the boys are fit, not injured, that helps. Let me say, Gabriel and [William] Saliba played all the games for Arsenal.

"Did they play a little bit less than us? I don’t even know 100 per cent - but they played a lot of games as well. Coming back from injury obviously is then slightly different, because of the intensity – the game is not waiting for you. Up front it is a super-intense job to do, always high sprint, always go, go, go and that we cannot change [players] there is difficult."

Fans on social media hit out at Klopp and believe Arsenal are living 'rent free' in his head.

One X user wrote: "Rent. Free."

A second tweeted: "Arsenal is living in Klopp’s head rent free."

A third added: "Liverpool can’t keep Arsenal out of their mouths. Hilarious. Gabby missed the first 5 games of the season.

A fourth said: "These managers be mentioning Arsenal unprovoked now."

Another argued: "He’s spot on in this context. Gabriel and Saliba have played all matches this season and they are still doing that till this time. Kudos to them."

Liverpool trail Arsenal by three points with just four league games remaining. As for Manchester City, they have two games in hand over their rivals.
