Ange Postecoglou could be a set for a swift return to management after he was installed as the favourite for a new job just 48 hours after his Nottingham Forest dismissal.
Postecoglou was relieved of his duties at the City Ground on Saturday, mere minutes after a 3-0 defeat at home to Chelsea.
His tenure came to an end after just eight games in a 39-day period and sees him sacked for the second time in 2025 following his exit at Spurs despite winning the Europa League and securing Champions League qualification.
But while he is now out of work again, the Australian has been linked with a shock return to Celtic.

While it is rivals Rangers who have sacked Russell Martin following a dire run of form, Celtic now find themselves five points adrift of SPFL leaders Hearts following a surprise defeat to Dundee over the weekend.

They were also eliminated from the Champions League at the qualification stage, losing to Kazakh side on penalties following 0-0 draws across both legs.
Dropping down to the Europa League, Celtic have taken one point from their opening two games in the league phase and pressure is quietly increasing on Brendan Rodgers in his second spell with the Glasgow giants.

Though the Northern Irishman is unlikely to be sacked any time soon, there has been a change for when it comes to who is the favourite for the Celtic job with the bookmakers.
Previously, Kjetil Knutsen of Bodo/Glimt had been the 2/1 favourite to become the next manager of Celtic - though his odds are now 7/2 and put him third on the list.
Postecoglou, however, is the new favourite - priced at 6/4 with betting apps - as per gambling.com.
