The Premier League has often been labelled as the best league in world football, and it is easy to see why.

In the popular video game FIFA, England’s top flight often carries a huge amount of highly rated player cards, and it looks like the trend will continue in the new edition, FIFA 23.

According to predictions made by Dexerto, these are the top ten Premier League players on FIFA 23.

10.Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool: 87>88

Alexander-Arnold is the perfect example of a modern full back, armed with a specular passing range and top quality technique. The England man is continuing to develop into a truly world class player. Last season he managed two goals and 19 assists which should earn him a well deserved upgrade.

9.Erling Haaland, Manchester City: 88>89

Haaland finally made his long awaited move to the Premier League this summer by following in his father’s footsteps as he joined Manchester City.

During his time with Borussia Dortmund, Haaland showed what a deadly striker he is, in total he has scored 86 goals in 89 matches for the German club.

Can he be the man to finally fire City to the elusive Champions League crown? He is predicted to get a +1 upgrade on his FIFA rating.

8.Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United: 91>89

Well it is unclear whether Ronaldo will still be at Manchester United when the new game is released but there is no doubt that the Portuguese great is still up there as one of the best players in the world. He was United’s top goal scorer last season with 24 across all competitions.

However, his rating is facing a downgrade but still makes the list.

7.Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool: 89>90

The Dutch centre back is arguably Liverpool’s most important player, as show in the 20/21 season as the Reds fell apart when Van Dijk suffered a season ending injury.

He came back last season and showed the world just how good he is. His FIFA 22 rating was downgraded probably due to his injury, therefore it should be back up to a more suitable rating of 90 in the new game.

6.Harry Kane, Tottenham Hotspur: 90>90

Kane is the main man for both Spurs and England. But his rating is set to stay the same for the new game despite his tally of 27 goals in the 21/22 campaign. He was vital alongside Son Heung Min for Spurs’ charge for Champions League qualification.

5.Mo Salah, Liverpool: 89>90

The ‘Egyptian King’ calmed Liverpool fans’ nerve by signing a new deal this summer. Salah has been world class since he joined the Anfield club. After winning a fourth Golden Boot last season, he should be in line for an upgrade.

4.Alisson, Liverpool:89>90

The final Liverpool player on the list is goalkeeper Alisson. The Brazilian shot stopper is another key member of Jurgen Klopp’s team. Alisson saved his team many times last season as he produced some incredible saves. It is expected that his rating will be upgraded.

3.Ederson, Manchester City: 89>90

The 21/22 Golden Glove winner played a big role in helping Manchester City win their fourth title in five years. And he also has ridiculous passing skills. The Brazilian is predicted to go from a rating of 89 to 90 in FIFA 23.

2.Son Heung Min, Tottenham Hotspur: 89>90

The South Korean mega star has been a breath of fresh air since he joined the Premier League. His cheerful persona is backed up by his world class football ability on the pitch. The Golden Boot winner from 21/22 will be looking to score even more goals in the new season.

1.Kevin de Bruyne, Manchester City: 90>91

Without a shadow of a doubt, De Bruyne is the best midfielder in the world. He played a vital role in City’s stunning come back against Aston Villa on the final day to clinch the title. It will be ridiculous if the Belgian doesn’t receive an upgrade.
