Philippe Coutinho Dropped A Stunning Cameo Against Man United, His Individual Highlights Are Brilliant

Philippe Coutinho made a dream debut for Aston Villa.

Philippe Coutinho enjoyed a dream debut for Aston Villa against Manchester United, with his individual highlights making for great viewing.

Coutinho starred in his cameo appearance for Villa against Man United, assisting and scoring a goal in his side's 2-2 draw on Saturday.

He made an instant impact upon entering the fray, setting up Jacob Ramsey just nine minutes into his second Premier League bow.

The Brazilian combined wonderfully with Carney Chukwuemeka, laying off a delicate pass to Ramsey who smashed home in front of The Holte End.

Ramsey then returned the favour as he slid a gorgeous pass to Coutinho who made a clever darting run inside the box to score from close range to bag his first Villa goal.

Other than the goal contributions, the 29-year-old looked sharp and had attacking intent every time he got on the ball that will excite Steven Gerrard and the Villa faithful.

Needless to say, Coutinho's impressive showing against Man United got fans talking online.

One tweeted: "What an upgrade from Grealish."

A second wrote: "He’s not even 100% and he changed the game like that."

A Liverpool fan commented: "Can’t believe we were too stubborn to bring him back, better than any of our midfielders bar Thiago."

Gerrard could be tempted to start his new star man for their next league game against Everton following his performance.

Coutinho, who played 16 games in all competitions for Barcelona before sealing a switch Villa, had also just recovered from Covid-19 so his performance is even more impressive considering he's not fully match-fit.
