Paulo Dybala has reportedly lowered his wage demands to €6 million per season and it's been called 'deal of the year' for a free agent.

The Argentina international left Juventus at the end of last season and is currently a free agent.

Many believed he would join Inter Milan and he agreed personal terms, but the return of Romelu Lukaku on loan means a move will not be happening.

Dybala is currently in limbo regarding his next club and sacrifices have been made. Angelo Mangiante of Sky Sport claims the 28-year-old is willing to accept a lower wage to sort out his future.

That means Dybala's wage per week will work out at around €115,000. For context, that is lower than the majority of the Manchester United squad as well as Manchester City's.

Mangiante went on to call it 'deal of the year' for a free agent given what Dybala has done in the game.

The forward is a five-time Serie A winner and he scored in Argentina's Finalissima triumph over Italy last month.

In recent years he has struggled with injury and he only made 29 appearances in the league last campaign.

Interestingly, Dybala's representatives have approached United about a potential transfer.

He had the chance to move to Old Trafford in 2019, but opted to stay at Juventus despite being told he'd 'become a champion' in Manchester by then-teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Roma have registered an interest too and Jose Mourinho is desperate to bring a serial winner to the Stadio Olympico.

Dybala was visibly emotional after his last game for Juventus and released a statement, thanking supporters for a successful seven years.

"It is difficult to find the right words to say bye to you," he said. "There are so many years and so many emotions all together.

"I thought we would have stayed together a few more years but destiny has led us down different paths.

"I will never forget everything you gave me; every match, every goal. I have grown up, learnt with you. I have lived a dream.

"It has been seven magical years with 12 trophies and 115 goals that no one can ever take away. Ever. Thank you for supporting me during the difficult moments."

Where do you think Paulo Dybala will be next season?
