Patrice Evra appeared to get involved in a heated discussion with Manchester City staff following their big win over Real Madrid in the Champions League.

The Blues advanced to the final after beating the holders 5-1 on aggregate, producing a dominant second-leg performance on Wednesday.

Pep Guardiola's side destroyed the La Liga giants as Bernardo Silva bagged a first-half brace in a stunning opening 45-minute spell.

Manuel Akanji and Julian Alvarez got on the score-sheet in the second-half as they set up a showdown against Inter Milan next month.

The team celebrated on the pitch after securing a spot in the Champions League final, with Guardiola rounding up his coaching staff.

The Man City staff were grouped near the BT sport crew, which included Evra. And he seemed to get into an altercation with members of their backroom staff.

A video shows the former Manchester United defender in an intense conversation with a Man City personnel on the touchline.

He was eventually ushered away from the club's staff and returned to the BT Sport desk.

His supposed exchange with Guardiola's backroom staff angered fans online.

One Twitter user questioned: "On what criteria was he allowed to be on the field there."

A second wrote: "He came hoping we’d lose so he could troll us.. sucks to be him."

A third tweeted: "Former United players should be banned from Etihad."

A fourth added: "It's so embarrassing how he's desperate to stay relevant."

Another said: "Did anyone notice how Pep totally blanked him when he sought out Ederson for a hug."

Evra grabbed plenty of headlines on Wednesday as he also gatecrashed CBS Sports' coverage of the game.

He joined Kate Abdo, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards as he failed his 'audition' in a hilarious segment.

SPORTbible has reached out to Man City for comment on the situation.
