Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and daughter Karna have made history in becoming the first father and daughter duo to play for Manchester United.

On Sunday, 19-year-old Karna made her debut for United's women's side in the 2-0 FA Cup fourth round win over Bridgwater United.

An own goal from Charlotte Buxton and a strike from Ella Toone sent United into the next round.

And there was a special moment in the second half as former United player and manager Solskjaer was in attendance to see his daughter's debut.

Congratulations on your senior #MUWomen's debut, Karna Solskjær 👏

Karna replaced Ivan Fuso late in the second half, her first-team bow coming after she hit 13 goals in 12 games for the Under 21's this term.

Solskjaer was in the stands for her brace against Aston Villa at Altrincham’s J Davidson Stadium in midweek and both he and wife Silje proudly watched on today.

Karna plays as a striker and has been in the United academy set-up since 2019 along with Solskjaer's youngest son Elijah.

Solskjaer's eldest child, 21-year-old Noah, plays for Kristiansunds and made his professional debut for his hometown club against United in a pre-season game back in 2019.

The midfielder came on with around five minutes remaining and received a high five from his old man just as he entered the fray for the special moment.

Solskjaer joined United from Molde in 1996 and went on to score 126 goals in 366 appearances, winning six Premier League titles and one Champions League - memorably scoring the winner in stoppage time against Bayern Munich in the 1999 final.
