Wolves are set to smash their transfer record once again by turning Raul Jimenez's loan deal into a permanent one.

The Mexican striker was one of many high-profile summer incomings drafted in by Nuno Espirito Santo (with a fair bit of assistance from super agent where necessary).

The former Atletico Madrid man is Wolves' first-choice forward and has scored four goals and contributed with four assists in 15 Premier League games.

And according to Portuguese outlet O Jogo, Wolves will sign him permanently for a fee of €38 million euros in the summer (£34 million) and make the 27-year old their club-record signing should they remain in the Premier League.

In the summer, Wolves broke their transfer record with concluded with the capture of Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore for £18 million but the addition of Jimenez on a permanent basis would eclipse that figure by some distance.

Wolves have made a solid start to life back in the Premier League and currently sit in 12th place on 19 points going into the this weekend's fixtures.

So far they've drew with Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal, while they came from behind to beat Chelsea at Molineux on Wednesday.
