Juventus winger Juan Cuadrado is in need of a new shirt number after some bloke from Real Madrid took his No.7 at the Allianz Stadium.
Cristiano Ronaldo has signed for the Bianconeri in a £99.2 million switch and of course he was never going to be wearing any other shirt number than #7 because of the immense global appeal he brings to the table.
Cuadrado took to social media to send his new teammate a message and explain that he's more than happy to pass on his coveted shirt number to Ronaldo, before creating a poll for fans to vote for his new number in Turin.
And it's clear that the Old Lady faithful want the Colombian international to take on the No.49 shirt - 34 per cent of the 153,038 voters opting for it ahead of Paulo Dybala's No.10, No.16 (his shirt number in his first season at Juventus) and the No.21.
However, it seems there is a reason as to why supporters wanting him to wear the number - that being because 'Cuadrado' means 'squared in Spanish and seven squared is 49. With that as his number, there would still be a connection to the number seven.

There would be with No.16 to be fair though as the numbers add up to seven so he could go all Ivan Zamorano on us. When at Inter Milan, he wanted to be the No.9 so much that took 18 and had a plus sign in between the digits on the back of his shirt.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, has signed a four-year contract that will see him pocket €30 million per year in Serie A. His medical and official Juventus presentation takes place this evening.
