Arsenal loanee Jack Wilshere grew up as West Ham and being a Hammer the midfielder idolised Joe Cole as well as the Italian maverick Paolo Di Canio.

The 24-year-old was deemed to surplus to requirement by Arsene Wenger in the summer, shipping him off to Bournemouth and during a sit-down chat with the Premier League he revealed all.

Also showing admiration to former Manchester United and England skipper David Beckham, saying; "David Beckham was always one of mine as he was the England captain." While adding; But growing up as a West Ham fan, there was a couple in that team. Joe Cole was one of mine, he started at a young age and was a skilful player."

Cole and Di Canio are revered as two legends at the club and the decision will rightfully please the West Ham faithfuls.
