West Brom are reportedly lining up a shock move for Emmanuel Adebayor with Slaven Bilic eyeing a striker ahead of deadline day.

Adebayor is desperate to have one last shot at the Premier League after leaving Paraguayan club Olimpia.

And it appears the Baggies may offer him a route back to England by tabling a contract if they fail to sign a forward this window.

Widespread reports claim the West Brom manager has spoken to Adebayor's team regarding a transfer.

The 36-year-old has scored 97 goals in England's top flight across spells at Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham and Crystal Palace.

He's hoping to reach a century of Premier League goals before calling time on his career.

The Togo international has been training twice a day in his home in Ghana in a bid to earn a contract.

Turkish side Fenerbahce have also expressed an interest in signing the free agent.

Meanwhile, West Brom have recently signed veteran defender Branislav Ivanovic who joined on a free transfer.

Bilic is also hoping to secure a deal for Filip Krovinovic.

Speaking about the Croatia midfielder, he said: "It will happen in next couple of days.

"Filip - I've been told that he should be here by the weekend, the end of the weekend, so I'm expecting him to start training with us after we play Chelsea.

"So it will be done. I got assured from the director that he will come and as I said, he's there, but until it's over the line we can't guarantee that. But it looks like everything is sorted with Benfica."

West Brom opened their 2020/21 Premier League season with a thumping 5-2 defeat to Everton.

They resume their league campaign at home to Chelsea on Saturday.
