He may not have established himself as a first team regular under Jose Mourinho, but it would appear that Anthony Martial is still a part of the Portuguese manager's plans at Old Trafford, with Manchester United today rejecting a bid for the French forward.
The 21-year-old, who lit up the Premier League during his first season in English football, scoring 17 goals and earning a plethora of rave reviews along the way, made just 25 Premier League appearances, last season, with Mourinho using the French international in a more rotational manner than his predecessor Louis Van Gaal did.

Yet, despite numerous reports over the past 12 months reporting that Martial and Mourinho were not seeing eye-to-eye, the former Monaco youngster is not for sale, it appears, with Tottenham failing with a bid for the forward.
Mohamed Bouhafsi, Chief Football Editor at RMC Sport in France, broke the news, this afternoon.

With Mourinho spending much of pre-season trying to secure a deal for Internazionale wideman Ivan Perisic, it was thought that Martial's days at Old Trafford may be numbered, but when Inter informed United that they wanted the French forward included in the deal for Perisic, they were rebuffed and the deal collapsed.
How will Martial figure into Mourinho's plans this season, though? Will it be another campaign of frustration for the Frenchman, or will he rediscover the form that excited United fans so much in 2015/16?
