On transfer deadline day Moussa Sissoko made himself Public Enemy Number One at Goodison Park when he decided against joining the Toffees to seal a last minute, £30m move to Tottenham, instead.
The late change of heart left Ronald Koeman scrambling to find another wide man at late notice, eventually settling on a desperation loan move for Enner Valencia, with a deal for Porto's Yacine Brahimi also falling through.

Sissoko, meanwhile, has hardly set the world on fire during his brief time at White Hart Lane, failing to feature in a Premier League game since 22nd October and not even making Mauricio Pochettino's last two squads. Given the peripheral figure the Frenchman is currently cutting at White Hart Lane, it is no surprise he is already being linked with a move away from North London, with Calciomercato reporting that he could be set to finally move to Goodison Park in a cut price deal in January, as Ronald Koeman still maintains an interest in the winger.
Probably wouldn't have bothered with that sign, lad. (Image: PA)
Mauricio Pochettino said two days ago that Sissoko has "failed to live up to expectations", adding "You need to show on the training ground you are better than another team-mate and you deserve to be involved." Having failed to register a single goal or assist in his 10 appearances for Spurs so far, it's hard to disagree with Pochettino's assessment of his Summer signing, who many were surprised the club parted with £30m for, given the wretched last season he endured with Newcastle, last term.

Will Everton fans be happy to see Sissoko make the move to Goodison Park after he scuppered Ronald Koeman's plans at the 11th hour on deadline day? Calciomercato are reporting that Juventus, Inter Milan, PSG and Sevilla have all also registered an interest in the France international's availability.
