Frank Lampard Linked With Sensational Move For Former Chelsea Teammate

Frank Lampard has been linked with a sensational move for former Chelsea teammate Salomon Kalou at Derby County.

The Blues and England legend signed a three-year deal as Gary Rowett's replacement and is targeting promotion with the East Midlands side after the club were beaten by eventual play-off winners Fulham in the semi-finals last season.

There's already plenty of curiosity as to who Lampard may look to bring in Pride Park - and of course we couldn't have a rumour mill without a former Chelsea colleague being linked, with Kalou being touted as his first signing as a manager.

Sport BILD say that Lampard wants to sign the Hertha Berlin forward in what would be a monumental statement of intent.

It's said that the German capital club would be willing to sanction his sale for a fee of at least 10 million euros - which may prove difficult for Derby given their financial situation.

But if they can somehow find a way to negotiate a deal, it would be a quite incredible addition given his impressive. goal record.

Kalou made his name at Feyenoord, scoring 35 goals in 67 appearances and prompting Chelsea to acquire him for a fee of £9 million.
