BREAKING: Middlesbrough Complete Seventh Signing Of The Summer

Middlesbrough have continued to spend, spend, spend this summer and their latest signing has certainly raised a few eyebrows.

Former Manchester United defender Fabio has joined the club on a two-year deal from Championship side Cardiff City.

The 26-year-old will add Premier League experience to Karanka's backline, having made more than 100 appearances in English for Manchester United, Cardiff and QPR.

Fabio has joined the Boro for an undisclosed fee, but reports suggest the deal is worth around £2 million.

The signing of Fabio adds to the long list of transfers this summer, including Alvaro Negredo, Victor Fischer, Brad Guzan, Marten De Roon, Victor Valdes, Antonio Barragan and Bernardo Espinosa.
