Tottenham Hotspur have been rocked by a Covid-19 outbreak in their camp and it's been reported up to six players have tested positive.

Sky Sports have also claimed two members of the backroom staff have tested positive in recent days.

The club are currently waiting for PCR test results to confirm the extent of the outbreak.

Antonio Conte's side are set to face Rennes in their final Europa Conference League Group G clash on Thursday evening.

Spurs go into that second in the group but level on points with Vitesse.

A shock loss to NS Mura two weeks ago means Spurs need to win at home on Thursday to ensure passage to the knockout stages.

Since that loss, Spurs have recorded back to back home wins in the Premier League against Brentford and Norwich City respectively.

Conte is yet to lose in the Premier League with Spurs after replacing Nuno Espirito Santo last month.

A Premier League statement confirmed there were 12 new positive tests for Covid-19 in the latest rounds of testing.

Tottenham are up to fifth in the Premier League and have a tricky fixture list coming up, including Liverpool on December 19.

They also have an additional game to play after their game with Burnley was postponed nine days ago due to heavy snow.
