In what is proving to be yet another waste of a once promising English talent, Saido Berahino has been put on a special training regime by West Bromwich Albion after tipping the scales at eight pounds overweight.
The England U21 international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Hawthornes for the last four transfer windows, doing his best to engineer himself a transfer elsewhere, while slamming former chairman Jeremy Peace for keeping him in the Midlands against his wishes.

Berahino was dropped for the Baggies' 1-1 draw with Tottenham at the weekend as a result of his weight gain and has agreed to be put on the exercise programme in the hope he can prove to manager Tony Pulis that he is deserving of playing a part in this weekend's clash with Liverpool at Anfield.
The striker, who Spurs were once ready to part with £30m for, has shared a video of him undertaking the new regime, on his official Instagram page:

Hopefully the 23-year-old can get his career back on track sooner rather than later, whether it's at West Brom or elsewhere. Just over a year ago, Berahino was coming off a 20 goal season for the Baggies, which then dropped to seven, last term. With 10 goals in 11 U21 caps, though, Berahino should be banging on the door for a full England call up, rather than struggling for game time under Tony Pulis.
