The top 10 highest earning footballers in the world have been revealed and it's a depressing look at how the other half live, with every player on the list earning more in the time it takes you to read this article than any of us will make this year.
All the usual suspects are included on the list, which is yet to account for Cristiano Ronaldo's recently signed new contract at Real Madrid which is set to pocket the Portugal captain a staggering 48m euros a year.

As well as the likes of Ronaldo, Messi, Pogba, Rooney, Bale etc, those players who jumped on the Chinese Super League bandwagon find themselves in unfamiliar company, with Graziano Pelle, Hulk and Ezequiel Lavezzi all making the list despite not exactly being world class individuals (but perfectly good players all the same). Then again, Wayne Rooney still makes the top 10 despite not doing anything worthwhile for about three years, now.
