SEVEN Atletico Madrid players rushed back to their own box to defend a counter-attack against Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League.

Lokomotiv broke free on a counter-attack and looked a real threat going forward with only one Atletico Madrid defender in position.

However, the situation quickly changed when SEVEN Atletico Madrid players sprinted back into position as they thwarted the host's attack.

The incredible defensive cover brilliantly highlights the players' desire which has been instilled in the side by Diego Simeone.

As expected, 'Atleti' executing Simeone's philosophy left fans in awe.

"Not a fan of simeones brand of football, but his ability to bring the out the highest level of commitment from his players is genius," one Twitter user wrote.

A second Tweeted: "I'll always choose a more proactive method of defending breakaways and turnovers but simeone does really lay down the law and demand alot."

A third Tweeted: "That's amazing. The way almost all of the players track back immediately at top speed to defend."

A Tweet read: "Look at that tracking back, If you're the attacker you'd actually be scared."

While another wrote: "We all say that Diego Simeone's tactics are boring but look at that commitment to not concede a goal. Any attacker running forward would be daunted at the prospect of having a whole team chase you like rabid dogs. This is world class defending. Atletico style."
