Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has recorded the most assists since 2000 ahead of rival Cristiano Ronaldo and club colleague Luis Suarez.

Messi, 33, has played 866 games since the year 2000 and has an impressive 319 assists to his name.

He's ahead of Juventus forward Ronaldo, who has set up 258 goals, and Suarez. The Uruguayan international has created 256 goals since 2000.

Mesut Ozil, Angel Di Maria, Cesc Fabregas and Xavi are placed fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively.

Franck Ribery, Thomas Muller and Steffen Hofmann make up the top ten.

The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Arjen Robben, Eden Hazard and David Beckham also earned a spot among the top 25.
